Jason Chen: The other features: flip-down door thathas USB 2, microDVI port, and a headphone jack. The other side is aMagSafe connector. As for wireless, it’s got 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth2.1 + EDR. It doesn’t have an optical drive internal, but you can buy aseparate USB-powered SuperDrive that’s especially made for the MacBookAir. $99.

It’s silver(aluminum?), has black keys, is super super thin, and Steve can hold iteasily with his fingertips. “It’s the world’s thinnest notebook,” hereiterates. It has a 13.3-inch widescreen display. “And the display isgorgeous.” It’s an LED backlit display that’s instant-on. It also has abuilt-in iSight camera, and a full-sized keyboard. multi-touch gesture support on the trackpad.

Jason Chen: Thinness: MacBook air goes from 0.76inches down to 0.16 inches at the thin end. The thickest part isthinner than the Sony TZ Series. 0.76 vs. 0.8. It’s so thin, it evenfits inside a vanilla envelope. Steve whips out a manilla envelope.

Jason Chen: What does this mean? The Sony TZ seriesare thin. “We looked at all of them out there. They generally weighabout 3 pounds.” In Sony’s case, it weighs 3 pounds, 0.8-1.2 inchesthick, and a 11-12 inch display.
